I was alarmed when I saw some of the negative reviews for these lighters, but for less then £7, I figured it was worth a try. Glad I did: ours arrived undamaged, fully-fueled, in pristine condition, and in working order. I’m glad I won’t have to fumble around with matches at funny angles, or being blown out by gusts. The lighters all work, and are of adequate quality construction. I’m happy with our purchase, and would recommend them to others.

The media could not be loaded. These refillable lighters have a safety feature that I have not seen on this style before. There is a slider that locks the trigger so that it cannot be depressed accidentally. Considering it is a plastic construction this works exceptionally well and feels good and strong. The flame can be adjusted via a small switch that can be slid from low to high and you can stop anywhere between the two. You do need a little bit of force on the trigger to get the flame to light so may not be suitable if you have poor hand strength. It is easy to keep depressed once lit and makes lighting a gas hob really simple, even if you already have the pot on the burner. They all come with butane already in them. There is a viewing window in the handle so you can easily see how much butane is left in the unit. Charging is via a port in the handle that you can fill from most standard cans of butane.

Often like using candle light so bought these to make lighting them easier. One barely produced a flame and was unusable. The other 2 worked for a few days each and then stopped working. Was used to light 5 candles per day and need refilling after within 2 days. Unable to return which is frustrating. I will be making sure I'm a little more careful with future purchases
