Ours is the sort of household whose skin reacts in hives at the slightest provocation, and we are eczema-prone. This product has caused no reaction, even after daily use for a month or so in midwinter. With all these foaming handwash products, the effectiveness of the foam production depends as much on the bottle dispenser you use as on the actual liquid or tablet handwash product itself. So, I waited to do my review of this product, until I had tried it in 3 different types of dispenser bottles that I already knew to be reliable and work well. We've now tested this for over a month in an old Method foaming handwash container, a Neat brand metal handwash container, and, my personal favourite for use by children/the elderly with arthritic hands, etc., our new SMOL brand foaming hand dispenser. In both, the product has worked beautifully, producing nice foam as it should and with no clogging or other issues. My favorite brand of foaming handwash tablet at the moment is the Smol brand foaming hand wash tablets, but at £10 for 3 tablets, they are too expensive for everyday use, with how often we wash our hands in this house. So far as I can tell, the reason for the price differential between more expensive tablet and powder foaming handwash refills and cheap ones seems to be the choice of fragrance used. I presume SMOl's nicer scented tablets also have a higher ingredient cost to achieve that nice smell. The scents of these handwash tablets are very mild, to the point of being barely there, but we'd rather that than have hands covered in hives, so the lack of scent with this product suits our purposes. In winter especially, we always follow up handwashing with a decent hand cream (Edinburgh hand cream bars which are nicely scented anyway). These foaming handwash tablets are cheap enough that you could always add a drop or two of your favorite essential oil to the dispenser bottle if the lack of scent bothers you, as my friend does with hers. In a horse and dog-loving household of keen cooks, we need something far more economical. Simply put, we need to wash our hands a LOT. Which is where these tablets come in. At just 50p per refill at the time of purchase, they are far more reasonably priced, allowing us the convenience of a tablet for storage, combined with that feeling that even folks on such modest incomes as our own are entitled to just a little bit of luxury with the lovely foaming effect. At such a low cost, I won't mind leaving a bottle of foaming handwash next to the outside tap in the garden in the summer. (using that old Method foaming hand wash bottle that is still going strong even after years of reuse). Please note we do keep an old-fashioned bar of Pears soap and a nail brush by all our sinks for when our hands need a proper scrub, but these foaming hand washes are great for persuading kids to wash their hands and for our own need to feel a little pampered. The amount of foam and the foam quality are up there with any of the more expensive brands I have previously tried. The key reason for the price differential appears to be scent alone, not any foaming or cleansing properties of this cheaper product. For dissolving, I tend to refill before bed and leave it overnight out of habit. (I also clean the bathroom last thing, so this is simply my household routine.) I have only used cold water and have not bothered with warm water as yet. These tablets have always dissolved properly when I come to wash my hands in the morning, and so far, I have had no cause for complaint. As far as sticking to my goal of trying to reduce our household plastic use, these tablets do everything they are supposed to do. They work very well for light hand cleansing, foam nicely for a touch of luxury, and encourage good hygiene habits in the young. It seems far more ecologically sound and more economical to have these tablets on a repeat order than to keep buying and throwing away so much single-use plastic constantly. For us, therefore, this product is a win-win: I intend to keep on repeat order. Ocean Scent - For my first order I chose the mixed selection of scents to try out. This time I chose Ocean Scent. These work just as well, and smell just as the SMOL branded tablets in the SMOL dispenser bottle, for a fraction of the cost of the branded refills. I now have this variety of tablets on subscribe and save. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Note - With ALL these foaming handwash refills, the quality of the specialist pump dispenser you use matters as much or more than the product you use with them. None of them will work at all in a regular handwash pump dispenser, which may account for some of the poor reviews I've seen for foaming handwash refill products generally. You also need to check you are using the right dilution, so there is no point diluting a tablet into 500ml if the instructions call for 250ml and then complaining that the resultant product is too weak.

Seems to be a good product at a good price. Doesn't foam as good as more expensive versions (saying that it could be the bottle I'm using),but does the job. One word of caution, when delivered they came in a small clear bag of all different coloured tabs that could be mistaken for a bag of sweets.

These tablets didn’t foam as much as the proper ones for the dispenser I have but they clean very well and they are good for the price. They last as long as the proper ones too. They are easy to use just drop in and shake. They don’t have a strong smell but they definitely clean!

Awful product. It doesn’t foam or turn into any kind of hand wash. It’s just coloured water with a smell. Plus it arrived covered in plastic. THIS IS NOT AN ECO ALTERNATIVE and would not recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. It works really well. I put one piece inside of the water, enough to fill this machine and it worked really well. It doesn't smell almost nothing and It last for long.

Tryna ng to save a bit of the environment so bought the Nivea equivalent which ended up costing way more than I expected to pay so when I found these I gave them a tried and have to say they aren't as good as the big brand versions but a third the price and does exactly what you want. Only not a 5star because they aren't quite as good as the original Nivea ones

There were no instructions with the tablets so it was guess work for mixing quantities. They did produce some foam soap but also some liquid. Maybe it was my dilution levels, but I won’t buy these again.
